First, singing was just my hobby, until I went to SMPN 1 Sigumpar. Since kid, I've been singing in HKBP Sigumpar Sunday School. But now, after I became a student of SMP Negeri 1 Sigumpar, the singing event I attended was a singing contest in the Teacher’s Day in 2013.

I did not expect to win at first. Given the many friends and my seniors who have a good voice inside that arena. However, it turned out I won the competition and became a champion. I strongly support events and competitions that are held by SMP Negeri 1 Sigumpar.

Indeed, local event like this can improve our self-confidence as junior high students.
