A total of 3,966 students of SMP (junior high school)/MTs and private schools in Toba Samosir (Tobasa) are following the national exam (UN) held in 42 public and private schools.Related to the implementation of the UN, according to the schedule set nationally, UN in Toba Samosir is held in 42 public and private schools. As in SMP Negeri 1 Silaen, SMP Negeri 1 Sigumpar, SMP Negeri 3 Laguboti and SMP Negeri 2 Laguboti. It is recognized by the Head of Education Department Toba Samosir H. Lalo Simanjuntak in his office on Monday (5/5).To support the success of UN, the Department of Education has established a team of Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (MEL) which is tasked to monitor the implementation of UN.
"This team will check the readiness, to monitor the implementation of UN throughout the SMP/MTs in Tobasa", said the Secretary of the Department of Education Rudi H. Sitompul.
In the other hand, Manoras Taraja and Robintang Sitepu, other MEL team members do the monitoring in the sub-district Silaen and Sigumpar mentioned that during all the observations that made in the field, UN went conducive.
Manoras Taraja who is also the Head of Legal Setdakab Tobasa explained, according to the data obtained during the monitoring of the principal of SMP Negeri 1 Silaen, Koster Malau and principal of SMP Negeri 1 Sigumpar Rikkar Simanjuntak, UN on each of the schools attended by 126 students with 7 (seven) exam rooms.
Robintang Sitepu who is also acts as the Head of Public Relations and Protocol added that in every school that they monitor, also supervised by the police officers. Meanwhile, for the distribution of matter and answer sheet to the test participants was also not found significant obstacles.
